The workshops take place from 10am-12pm and 12.30pm-2.30pm in St George’s Market in Belfast.
The first workshop will be a digital animation session where participants will get the opportunity to create their own digital animation using local produce from the market, based on the theme of citywide connectivity, so get prepared for potatoes cycling past City Hall and leeks in a boat on the Lagan.
The second workshop will take place will see local produce from the market transformed into musical instruments, for a digital fruit and vegetable orchestra. We will use the state of the art Makey Makey technology to turn everyday fruit and vegetables into playable musical instruments. Participants will get the chance to play the instruments and record their own piece of digital music, using the fruit and veg instruments.
